Billing and credits
Admin+Admins and owners can see the subscription, the credit balance, and the usage history. Only the owner can buy plans, buy credit bundles, or open the payment portal.
How credits work
One credit equals one document processed by the AI pipeline. A document is a single PDF that reaches the extractor. Emails with no PDF attachments cost nothing, and the pre-classification filter rejects clearly non-financial PDFs before they spend a credit. Manual ledger corrections are not counted as usage.
Credits stay spendable for as long as your subscription is active. Each plan tops up its credit allowance at the start of every billing cycle, and any credit bundles you buy add to the same pool.
Your balance lives in the header widget. Click it to see your plan, the balance against your plan limit, and the renewal date. On the free tier the same spot shows the next refill date instead.
Free tier
The free tier gives you 10 credits on a rolling 30-day window, not a calendar month. You can connect one source.
The refill is anchored to the email behind your account, stored in a bonus registry. Deleting the account and signing up again with the same email does not reset the schedule, so the loophole is closed. The "Next refill" date in the credit popover always reflects this rolling clock.
Free-tier credits already in your balance are not lost when you upgrade. They roll forward into the paid plan's pool.
Paid plans
All prices are in USD. The yearly price shown is the per-month cost when you pay for a year up front.

Starter is yearly only, billed at $13/mo for a year. Growth, Scale, and Premium can be billed monthly or yearly.
Credit bundles
Bundles are one-off top-ups for a busy month or a quarter-end push. They add to your balance and stay spendable while your subscription is active.

A bigger bundle drops the per-credit cost.
Add-ons
Two add-ons are billed as separate monthly subscriptions on top of your plan:
- Email Routing, $15/mo. Rule-based delivery of routed invoices to outside recipients.
- Webhooks, $19/mo. Event delivery to your own HTTP endpoints in real time.
Premium includes both at no extra charge.
First-payment promo bonus
A new paid subscription gets a one-time bonus on its first payment:
- Monthly billing adds one extra month of your plan's credits, so the first month is doubled.
- Yearly billing adds four extra months of credits, the "four months free" deal.
The bonus is anchored to your account email, so each real user can claim it once.
Where billing lives
There is no separate billing tab. You manage your subscription and buy credits from the dashboard.
Manage your subscription
Open the credit balance widget in the dashboard header and click Manage Subscription. This opens the Lemon Squeezy customer portal, where you update your card, change your plan, or cancel. You can also reach the portal from Manage Plan on the pricing page.
Buy credits
Open the pricing page and, under the add-ons, click Buy Credits to open the bundle picker. Pick a bundle and confirm to pay through Lemon Squeezy checkout. When your balance runs low, a banner on the dashboard offers the same shortcut. Credits land in your balance within seconds of the payment confirmation.
Only the owner sees these controls. Admins can see the plan, the balance, and the usage history, but cannot buy credits or open the portal.
Cancellation
Cancel at any time from the Lemon Squeezy portal. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period, and any active credits stay spendable. After the period ends, the organization drops to the free tier. Your data is kept, sources keep syncing within the one-source free-tier cap, and you can re-subscribe whenever you want.
Delete-org and subscription protection
When you delete the organization, its Lemon Squeezy subscriptions are cancelled for you, covering active, past-due, and incomplete subscriptions. If that cancellation fails, the delete is stopped and you are asked to retry, which keeps a charge from outliving the data it paid for.
