Step-by-step: download invoices from Vercel

  1. 1

Open the team or account settings

Sign in to vercel.com/dashboard. If you are on a Team plan (Pro or Enterprise), switch into the team using the team switcher in the top-left. Then click the team name → Settings. Personal accounts use your avatar → Settings instead. Billing is scoped per team, not per user.

  2. 2

    Go to the Billing tab

In Settings, click Billing in the left sidebar. You will see the current plan, payment method, and usage so far this cycle. Scroll down to Invoice history, which holds the list of past invoices with dates, amounts, and download links.

  3. 3

    Download each invoice as PDF

Click the download icon next to any invoice to grab the PDF. Vercel bills monthly on the team's creation anniversary, not on the calendar month, so dates may look odd at first. The PDF includes plan fees, usage overages, and any add-ons.

About Vercel billing

Vercel's dashboard is sleek. Its billing page follows suit. The friction only shows up once you juggle multiple teams, variable usage, and a billing anniversary that never matches the calendar month.

If your Vercel team was created on, say, the 17th of a month, every invoice will reference the 17th-to-17th billing cycle. When you reconcile against your bank statement, card charges hit a day or two after the invoice date, so the amounts might appear in different calendar months from what the PDF says.

About Vercel

Vercel is the frontend cloud best known for building and maintaining Next.js. The platform handles hosting, edge functions, serverless compute, and a growing suite of managed services: Postgres, KV, Blob storage, observability, and Edge Config. Pricing runs on three tiers (Hobby, Pro, Enterprise) with heavy usage-based components for bandwidth and compute. Billing is monthly on a team-specific anniversary, and invoices are generated automatically when each cycle closes.

Manual vs automated

Manual

  • Sign in to Vercel
  • Switch to the right team
  • Open Settings, go to Billing
  • Scroll to Invoice history
  • Download each PDF
  • Repeat for every team and every month

Automated with Inbox Ledger

  • Connect Vercel once to Inbox Ledger
  • Every team's invoices appear in one dashboard
  • Export to Drive, Sheets, or accounting tools

Why people stop doing this by hand

Solo developer on a single Pro team: manual download plus a billing email takes five minutes a month. Agencies, consultancies, and bigger product teams are the ones that hit the wall. Each client gets its own Vercel team for isolation, each team has its own plan and payment method, and by the end of the quarter you have a dozen PDFs scattered across a dozen team contexts.

Vercel's API can pull invoices programmatically, but that is engineering effort for a bookkeeping problem.

Vercel is one of the portals our Chrome Extension auto-detects. Install it, visit the billing page for any team, and the extension captures new invoices as they appear. Works alongside the main Inbox Ledger sync if you also want server-side OAuth for the teams that support it.

Next step

One team, one Pro plan, billing email set: stay manual. Multiple teams, agency clients, or an Enterprise contract with line items you need to match to project codes: connect once and stop chasing.

Where to look in the dashboard

  • Team Settings → Billing is the main location for Team plans
  • Account Settings → Billing is where personal (Hobby plan) billing lives
  • Usage tab shows the live cost this cycle, not invoices
  • Team switcher (top-left) changes which team's billing you see
  • Billing email recipient is set under Notifications within Billing

Before you start — quick checklist

  • Team name, not your personal email, appears as the "Bill to" on the invoice
  • Plan fee (Pro, Enterprise) is correctly reflected for the billing period
  • Bandwidth, serverless function execution, and edge requests show as itemized usage if you exceeded the plan quota
  • Add-ons (extra seats, Edge Config, KV, Postgres, observability) are on the invoice
  • VAT is applied if you are in the EU and added a VAT ID, or correctly omitted if you are a VAT-registered business in a reverse-charge zone

Pro tips

  • Vercel's billing anniversary is the day you created the team, not the first of the month. If you made your team on the 17th, expect invoices around the 17th. Confusing for accountants used to calendar-aligned cycles.
  • Multiple teams on one Vercel account each have their own separate billing. An agency with 10 client teams has 10 different Invoice histories to check.
  • Usage-based products like Vercel Postgres, KV, and Blob storage are billed on top of the plan fee. The invoice breaks them out, but it is easy to miss a small $5 line buried under a larger plan charge.
  • Set a billing email on the team under Settings → Billing → Notifications so your accountant receives a copy automatically.
  • Plan downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle. If you downgrade mid-cycle, the current invoice still reflects the old plan.
