Open Subscription settings inside ChatGPT
Go to chatgpt.com, sign in, and click your profile avatar in the bottom-left corner. Choose Settings, then Subscription. You can also jump straight there with chatgpt.com/#settings/Subscription. This is only for the consumer Plus plan, not the API or Team.

Click Manage my subscription
On the Subscription panel, click Manage my subscription. This opens the Stripe-hosted customer portal in a new tab. All ChatGPT Plus billing goes through Stripe, so the portal should look familiar if you have used Stripe invoices before.

Download the invoice PDF from the Stripe portal
In the Invoices section of the Stripe portal, click the Download link next to each billing cycle. Save the PDF somewhere your accountant can find it. If you need only the current month, the last row at the top is enough.

Check your email for the matching receipt
OpenAI sends a Stripe receipt to your account email after each renewal. This is not the same as the invoice PDF, but it is handy as a cross-reference. Search your inbox for "Your receipt from OpenAI" if you want to confirm the amount before downloading.

ChatGPT Plus is a consumer subscription. The flip side is that the billing experience was designed for consumers, not for finance teams with reimbursement policies and tax IDs.

Why people stop doing this by hand

- ChatGPT Plus is a consumer subscription priced for individuals, so many companies refuse to reimburse it unless the invoice carries a business name. Add your company and tax ID in the Stripe portal before the next renewal.
- If you also use the OpenAI API, those invoices are in a different dashboard at platform.openai.com, not here. Do not confuse the two billing systems.
- Annual Plus plans are invoiced as a single upfront charge. You get one PDF per year, not twelve.
- Switching from Plus to Team moves billing to a new place (the Team admin panel). Old Plus invoices stay in your personal Stripe portal.
- If your card was declined, the failed charge still shows up in the portal but marked unpaid. The retry produces a new invoice with the same amount and a fresh invoice number.
