Step-by-step: download invoices from Midjourney

  1. 1

Sign in to your Midjourney account page

Go to midjourney.com and click Sign In in the top-right corner. You will be redirected through Discord OAuth. Once you are back on the Midjourney site, click your avatar and then Manage Subscription, or go directly to midjourney.com/account.

  2. 2

    Open the Billing section

On the account page, scroll to the Billing section. You will see your current plan, next renewal date, and a list of payment history. Midjourney uses Stripe as its payment processor, so the invoice layout matches a standard Stripe receipt.

  3. 3

Click View invoice next to each charge

Each row in payment history has a View invoice link that opens the hosted Stripe invoice page. From there, hit Download invoice to save the PDF. Repeat for each billing cycle you need. There is no bulk download.

  4. 4

Save both the monthly charge and any tier upgrades

If you upgraded mid-cycle, Midjourney issues a separate pro-rated invoice for the difference. Make sure you grab both the original and the top-up so your totals reconcile against your card statement.

About Midjourney billing

Midjourney is great at generating images. It is less great at handing you a PDF trail when your finance team asks who spent what in Q2.

Every paid Midjourney tier renews monthly or yearly, and every renewal produces an invoice sitting in your Stripe-hosted billing portal. The portal does not bulk-export, does not tag by project, and only one Discord account can see it.

Your Midjourney billing identity is your Discord login, not an email. That means if someone on your team set up the subscription under their personal Discord and then left the company, you may be locked out of your own invoice history. Use a shared Discord account for business subscriptions, or transfer billing ownership before anyone departs.

About Midjourney

Midjourney is an independent research lab that runs a text-to-image model of the same name. Based in San Francisco and founded in 2021, it operates almost entirely through a Discord bot interface, with payments and account management on midjourney.com. Subscriptions come in four tiers (Basic, Standard, Pro, Mega) with monthly or annual billing. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, so invoices follow the standard Stripe layout with Midjourney listed as the seller.

Manual vs automated

Manual

  • Sign in through Discord to midjourney.com
  • Open the account page
  • Click View invoice on each row
  • Download the PDF from the Stripe portal
  • Rename and save each file
  • Forward to your accountant

Automated with Inbox Ledger

  • Connect your billing email to Inbox Ledger
  • New Midjourney invoices from Stripe are captured automatically
  • Export to Drive, Sheets, or your accounting system

Why people stop doing this by hand

One freelance illustrator on Standard tier with annual billing gets one invoice a year. That is fine. A creative agency with a Pro subscription per designer, billed monthly, with occasional upgrades and Fast Hours top-ups is a different story. Each seat is its own Discord account, each account has its own billing history, and nobody wants to hunt down six logins every quarter.

Because Midjourney identity is tied to Discord rather than an email, SSO tools and central billing platforms do not really solve it either. The invoices have to be collected from wherever they land.

Next step

If you pay for one Midjourney seat and remember to download the annual invoice, manual is fine. If you run multiple designers or mix in Fast Hours top-ups, let Inbox Ledger catch those Stripe receipts the moment they hit your inbox.

Where to look in the dashboard

  • midjourney.com/account is the main location for billing
  • Manage Subscription button inside account opens the Stripe-hosted portal where invoices download
  • Discord DM from Midjourney contains your original welcome and receipt emails, useful if the Stripe portal is slow to load
  • Plan upgrades and downgrades happen in the same account page

Before you start — quick checklist

  • Invoice plan name matches the tier you are actually on (Basic, Standard, Pro, or Mega)
  • The billing period on the invoice matches your renewal date
  • Your company name is on the invoice, not your personal Discord handle
  • VAT or GST appears as a line item if your country requires it
  • The file is a downloaded PDF, not just the HTML receipt in your browser

Pro tips

  • Midjourney billing is tied to your Discord identity, not an email. Losing access to Discord means losing access to your invoice history, so keep both logins safe.
  • The annual plan is invoiced as one large upfront charge, not twelve monthly invoices. Budget accordingly at tax time.
  • Fast Hours top-ups and one-off image purchases generate their own separate invoices outside the main subscription one.
  • Team or studio subscriptions still bill through one Discord account. Forward the invoice manually if more than one person on your team needs it.
  • If you cancel and resubscribe, the payment history resets visually but invoices from the old cycle remain accessible via the Stripe email receipts you already got.
